The clothing and fashion industry has its hold, fast and cheap fashion has become the norm and with it is a system often built upon cheap labour and cheaper manmade fabrics in countries on the other side of the world.
To make our wardrobes sustainable, each of us would have to cut how many new clothes we buy by 75%, That’s quite an eye-watering statistic.
We are very lucky to have some great projects here in Dorset working hard to repurpose, recycle and refashion clothing. A celebration of rural makers reclaiming our clothing culture from big industry from DeFashion Dorset and Bridport Fashion Revolution…
