Making Seed Saving Normal Again
Join us in creating a network of people growing and sharing locally adapted seeds of edible plants!
We all want to make our food supply secure, yet food security depends on our seed security, so if you grow your own, why not join us in saving your own?
It’s easy, and we’ll show you how. Just ask us!
Any seed surplus from our work will support Bridport Seed Library and Seed Saturday Lyme.
The plan:
Our network will take the form of a traditional seed circle:
• We’ll show you how to save seed with workshops and gatherings
• You grow one or more types of edible plant at home in your garden or allotment, and save the seed
• We get together to swap our seed so we each get lots of different, strong seed for little work.
The vision:
To make seed saving normal again!
We want to live in a community which is less reliant on multinational seed corporations and is more resilient. We can restore our seed sovereignty by growing, saving and sharing our precious seed here in Dorset.
