Love Parks Week!
This week is Love Parks Week- a week that celebrates all things green spaces. It is
a campaign dedicated to promoting the benefits of parks for our communities and
beloved planet, in addition to shining a light on the people who care for our green
spaces.
During Love Parks Week 2026, various events are being hosted nationally. Some of
the functions include Parkrun, Pilates, craft sessions and even live music- there is
something for everyone! This is all with the ambition of celebrating our local green
spaces and those who help maintain them.
Locally, there is a celebration of Love Parks Week in Weymouth and Portland where
they are teaming up with Keep Britain Tidy and Love Dogs West Dorset. This is in
the hope of recognising the beauty of local green areas and wildlife whilst promoting
responsible dog ownership on their Weekly Waggy Walks.
