West Bay Shuttle Bus launches on Saturday 26 July!

After more than two years campaigning by the West Dorset Commons and others a new weekend bus service between Bridport and West Bay will be launched at the start of the school summer holidays.

Josef Davies Coates founded West Dorset Commons and in partnership with Bridport Town Council and Dorset Community Transport) the pilot service will be launching on Saturday 26 July!

This new bus will be the quickest, easiest and cheapest way to travel between Bridport and West Bay! Children and bus pass holders will travel FREE and it’s only £1 for everyone else!

The scheme received a £20,000 grant from the Western Gateway Sub-National Transport Body as well as funding from Dorset Council Community Transport.

The pilot service is set to continue through the autumn and winter, with a revised timetable.

West Dorset Commons long-term plan is to have a community-owned electric bus, which would be fully wheelchair accessible.
