People’s Emergency Briefing Film
Set for release on 7th April, the new film from the National Emergency Briefing is a vital public information initiative designed to ensure the UK is fully informed about the climate and nature crisis.
This powerful film presents the nationwide impacts of environmental breakdown alongside credible, hopeful solutions, all within a clear and accessible narrative crafted for community screenings across the UK.
Its purpose is to unite people from local communities to hear the facts, engage in meaningful discussion, and collaborate on responses, together with their local MPs, fostering collective action for a sustainable future.
About the Film - People’s Emergency Briefing (PEB)
The 45-minute film weaves together authoritative scientific insights from the Westminster event with heartfelt reactions from members of the public and familiar voices, helping audiences connect with the information on a personal, human level. It presents the stark realities of the threats we face, while also highlighting the immense benefits that can arise if the Government commits to genuine emergency action.
Many attendees of the Westminster event reflected that, despite the alarming facts, they felt a renewed sense of hope and optimism, believing that by confronting the challenge together, we can pave the way toward a brighter, more sustainable future.
The National Community Screening Programme
Each local screening will be followed by a thoughtfully structured discussion, guided by support from the NEB team to keep conversations constructive, solution-focused, and sensitive to the emotional impact of the information. By bringing communities and decision-makers together to engage with the same evidence, the screening programme seeks to foster informed, meaningful dialogue both locally and nationally.
