Bright Blue Dorset event

Bright Blue Dorset event

All across Dorset local community initiatives are under way to help clean up our rivers. From riverbank working parties to Citizen Science water quality testing to detailed discussions with the Water Companies, there’s a huge amount of knowledge, commitment and skills involved. A Dorset CAN event on January 30 brought together three leading speakers on the subject, plus representatives from a dozen local rivers.  Please ask if you’d like to see the speakers’ presentations and watch the recording of the Zoom event.

Speakers were: Simon Browning, formerly of the Westcountry Rivers Trust and now Monitoring Technical Lead for The Rivers Trust; Dominic Acland, Environmental Consultancy, currently helping deliver the Connecting the Culm Interreg Project; Ian Rees, Dorset AONB /  West Dorset Rivers & Coastal Streams Catchment

Groups representing Dorset and Devon Rivers included those from:  River Char ~ Kit Brook ~ River Lim ~ River Winterbourne ~ River Culm ~ River Winniford ~  River Asker ~ River Corfe ~ River Mangerton ~ River Sid ~ Queen Thorne Nature Watch
